I once had a teacher who told us a story of how she managed her anger every day. She did this by keeping an anger journal so that instead of lashing out at whoever or whatever was making her mad, she wrote it to diffuse her anger. In the same way, I'd like to start the new year right by keeping an online journal of thanks for every day this year has to bring. It is the first of January 2012. I feel that this year has a lot of great stuff in store for me and know that I have a lot to be thankful for in my life. But each day, there will always be a major "thank you" moment that I'd like to document and return to when I'm feeling down and insecure.
Today, I'm thankful for the internet, WiFi, Facebook, iMessage, and the iPod touch. If it weren't for these things, I won't have the wonderful conversations I had with my high school friends (Jek and Jane) today.
